Tips for Trunk or Treat Decor and Activities

Thank you for providing a trunk for this year’s Trunk or Treat! You can check out what some of our volunteers did last year to gain ideas for your trunk decorations and activities! Feel free to be as creative as you like but, as you’ll see below, simple is just as effective.

This volunteer dressed up like a coach and mounted a nerf basketball hoop to their hood. The kids had to make hoops to get candy.

These volunteers donned their favorite minion hats and used construction poster board to make their trunk look like a shark.

These volunteers made their devotion to their favorite team the theme of their trunk. Simple party decorations found at the dollar tree or party city, paired with team apparel made this trunk a festive stop.

This volunteer bought multiple sized pumpkins, and added few simple Halloween decorations for a great trunk!

These volunteers created a The Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz complete with Glenda and Dorothy! Not pictured is their yellow brick road!

These volunteers dressed up as hillbillies and gave out their candy from a tool box.

At your trunk, you can provide a simple game such as a ring toss.

Create a simple obstacle course.

Feel free to go all out as this family did to make their trunk argh-tastic!

Don’t forget! We will be awarding prizes for the best dressed trunks!
