I think most people are familiar with the words spoken by Anne of Green Gables: each day is fresh and without mistakes in it.
I am thankful for this sentiment as a mom. Some days, I knock it out of the park. Go ahead name aforementioned park after Patty mom extraordinaire because I did everything right. Crafts, healthy snacks, patient yet firm in the right times. Well behaved children. Stories and cuddles. Imagination well used.
Then come those days more often than I want to admit that put me in the mom dog house. Tempers flare, threats are made, children are tearful. The house is a wreck.
But regardless of how each day ends, I am guaranteed a new day in just a few short hours where my opportunity to be a mommy that loves, cares and nurtures her children is possible yet again.
“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
This post is part of a 31 day movement. You can learn more about it here but the gist of it is that I take 5 minutes to write on a one word prompt that is provided following a theme that I have chosen. My theme is The Mom Life. So every post will center around my life and experiences as a mom and what comes to mind when I think about the prompt given. Hope you enjoy following my writing journey as much as I will love crafting the words.
