imageMy son has this habit of needing to have something in his hands. His most favorite toy in the whole wide world is this marred beyond true recognition Buzz Lightyear that we picked up at the Dollar Tree about a year ago. It was meant as a reward for giving mommy 15 minutes of semi-peace and quiet.
Had I known this little piece of plastic would become a family member I would have bought 10!
Dom takes Buzz everywhere. It takes everything within me to coax this guy out of his hands for bathroom breaks. The little plastic man joins us for dinner and bathtimes are not complete without him either. Bedtime routine requires that Buzz be at his side as well. The only thing that prevents Buzz from being a fellow classmate is that Mommy has to put her foot down somewhere.
Who would have ever thought a 2 inch tall dollar toy would mean so much to my boy. But he does.
Oh to have that grip upon my savior who is with me when I wake up, go throughout my day, who is there when I wash the dirt of the day away. When I lay my head on my pillow, he is with me. Holding me.
