This past week, Marshall’s parents were in town. They watched our kids while we were in Austin for Marshall’s big event (more on that in a future post).
They were such a blessing. This was the first visit with them that I feel like Charlee really made a connection of who they were. It didn’t take long for her to warm up to them both.
Dom was so excited to see them, too. He and Grandpa have always had a bit of a connection… since day one it seemed. But this trip Dom had fun making brownies with Grandma for the firefighters and riding on Grandpa’s shoulders.
Parenting is hard but little breaks like what Grandma and Grandpa gave us and the love and affection they showered on our littles makes coming home so worth it.
Thanks for visiting Grandma and Grandpa!
This post is part of a 31 day movement. You can learn more about it here but the gist of it is that I take 5 minutes to write on a one word prompt that is provided following a theme that I have chosen. My theme is The Mom Life. So every post will center around my life and experiences as a mom and what comes to mind when I think about the prompt given. Hope you enjoy following my writing journey as much as I will love crafting the words.
