The Mom Life: Know {Day Six}

Jesus loves me this I know

For the Bible tells me so

Little ones to him belong

They are weak but he is strong

These words and the melody never get old.

A constant reminder that he is always with me. Always with my children.

Jesus loves me. What a precious reminder that I am loved and have the honor of teaching this truth to my children.

For the Bible tells me so. When all truth becomes relative and nothing seems to be black and white, the Bible and it’s timeless message remains.

Little ones to him belong. One of my favorite stories in the Bible is when Jesus calls the children to him when the disciples have shooed them away. The Lord will never push me away, neither will he ignore my children, but instead he seeks out ‘the least of these’.

They are weak. I can’t do this mom thing with my own determination and stubborn will power. I will always fail.

He is strong. He will never fail me. He will never fail my children. He demonstrated his strength on the cross and his daily pursuit of me, his grace when I fail, and his Holy Spirit hugs that often come in the small package of my son and daughter remind that he will always be strong.

Yes Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 19:14 NIV

This post is part of a 31 day movement. You can learn more about it here but the gist of it is that I take 5 minutes to write on a one word prompt that is provided following a theme that I have chosen. My theme is The Mom Life. So every post will center around my life and experiences as a mom and what comes to mind when I think about the prompt given. Hope you enjoy following my writing journey as much as I will love crafting the words.
