If I were to compare how I feel today to how I felt last Friday, night and day would not be an adequate description.
A week ago, I slept til noon.
Today I was up before 7! We are talking a shower and I made breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon and toast!
Last Friday, I did nothing. I’m serious. Absolutely NOTHING.
Today I have already accomplished two loads of laundry and it is not even 9 am!
Perhaps that shift has taken place. That golden moment that transpires that separates the first trimester woes from the 2nd trimester glow.
I have to be honest. I am still holding my breath. I’ve had days when I thought the ‘worst’ was over and it was onto the infamous nesting stage only to be terribly disappointed a few hours later by the return of nausea.
Okay enough about me. Let’s hear about the beautiful baby forming inside of me. According to babycenter.com, Baby Parker is a little over 2 inches from ‘crown to rump’ and weighs 1/2 an ounce. Half an ounce is 3 teaspoons! Whoa. Still so tiny!
*Oh and thanks to GOOGLE I learned that the term half ounce refers to 14 grams of marijuana.*
Baby Fruit of the week is lime:
The big thing happening in Baby Parker’s life is being able to move around quite a bit and baby is using reflexes like opening and closing hands and curling toes. So cute. Oh and Baby Parker is now peeing. Too funny.
Last week was pretty rough in the evenings. So much so that I never took a belly pic for week eleven. Here is week 12 and also a pic of me in my first full maternity outfit. My thoughts? “Wow. I AM pregnant!!”
My next prenatal visit is July 7th! So just a few more weeks! Super excited!
